The article discusses the main requirements for digital competencies of graduates of higher educational institutions for the oil and gas geological industry. A review of the main IT trends in the scientific and production activities of an oil and gas enterprise and a survey of the personnel skills necessary for their implementation is carried out, the requirements of an employer hiring a modern IT specialist are formulated and formalized.
