In this paper, a modification of high-tech expert system GIS-EEDB (Expert Earthquakes Database) is proposed. It was named as Fukushima-EEDB and aimed for solving a wide range of seismological research tasks. Examples of the system usage are presented for studying a seismic regime of circumjacent areas of Fukushima Prefecture.

Use of landscape metrics FRAGSTAT to study the dynamics of landscape structure of the region.

The utilization of FRAGSTAT metrics on the base of land cover maps is demonstrated in this work. Landscape ecology – actively developing the integral branch of science, which is intended to study the structural and functional organization of complex natural and social and natural systems and achieve the goal of sustainable development. At the final stage of illustrating the possibilities of landscape metrics Fragstats with specialized module Patch Analyst GIS package ArcGis 9.2. various indicators of landscape diversity of the region. Special attention is paid to the interpretation of the landscape and determine the scope of the estimated coefficients in the landscape and environmental studies, as well as the correlation of these parameters with different indices of diversity of landscape structure, is a classic in the domestic landscape studies and mathematical morphology of the landscape.

The characteristic is given for the Achimov klinoform neokoma of territories the Nyurolskaya megahollow and its framing structures. Method of paleotemperaturny modeling the thermal history of maternal bazhenovsky deposits is reconstructed. By geotemperature criterion are allocated paleo-hearths of intense generation oils, starting from Jurassic time. Built map of distribution of relative density of resources primary accumulated bazhenovsky oils for the achimovsky tank.

Pelmegov R.V., Kudelin A.G. Heuristic methods and technologies of automated quality control of well logging.

This paper deals with the development of scientific basis, methods and technologies of automated quality control of the primary data of well logging (GIS). The need to use automated tools to detect errors and quality control of recorded data during or immediately upon completion of studies argued sharply increasing price of recording errors with each subsequent milestone. The article gives a brief overview of features unreliability of tracks and the currently existing approaches to the problem of quality control of GIS-data, revealed the list of deficiencies of the methods considered. A design of correlation-heuristic algorithm for solving the problem of quality control data using data recovery techniques with spaces. Discussed in detail the mathe-matics and geometric interpretation of the iterative methods for modeling incomplete data using linear and quasi-linear self-assembled manifolds of small dimension, used in the author’s algorithm implementation of quality control. Formulated gradient criterion similarity measure fragments records logs. The results of numerical experiment on automatic data verification lateral logging.

Chudnenko K.V., Avchenko O.V., Vakh A.S. Petrological tool to calculate real mineral composition of the rock (MC program).

… »

This paper describes MC, the computer program intended to calculate modal amounts of minerals in rocks using the linear programming technique. The total chemical and mineral compositions represented either as crystal-chemical formulas or as weight percent oxides are used as input data. The MC program differs from the well-known MINSQ program by a different algorithm, improved accuracy, and the additional option Rock that enables solving a reverse task: calculation of the theoretical rock composition for any arbitrary assigned modal amount of mine-rals. The MC program was shown to be promising for solving various petrological problems in the fields of metasomatose, metamorphism, and magmatism.

Khaybrakhmanov T.S. GIS mapping of urban functional zones (types of land use) by satellite images.

… »

Maps of functional zones (maps of land use) are among the priority sources of information about urban development. Their compilation should be based on relevant and reliable data, such us satellite imagery. The article reflects the technique of geoinformation functional zoning of city territories by satellite ima-ges. Depending on their resolution some methods of automated and visual interpretation were be proposed. The result of applying these methods can be used in various branches of urban planning and city ecology.

… »

The paper is devoted to development of a knowledge base containing information about historically significant objects of Tambov region and providing remote access to its content. Its development was based on an integrated use of different software environments for modeling of historical heritage objects. The major software environment is a geographic information system (GIS) aiming on building a virtual visual image. The advantage is in using of three information areas for data display. The user’s screen is divided into three information fields, each of which displays different types of information: two-dimensional (three-dimensional) model of a city plan supporting the use of thematic layers; a model or set of images of historical objects presented in a slide show; textual reference for objects under concern. Linking all three areas of information is done by the means of frames, supported by any Internet browser. By applying frames users can manually change the size of information areas, increasing an area that it currently under examination. Additional information about the developed electronic resource which contains information about historically significant objects is published in the book «Information Technology for development of a spatial-temporal models of cultural and historical heritage».
