A processing methodology of wide-line seismic data to obtain a migrated image has been proposed and tested. The methodology was tested on the materials of the regional stage of geological exploration (regional survey) within the Volga-Ural petroleum province (the junction zone of the Blagoveshchensk depression and the South Tatar arch). The developed methodology combines elements of both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) processing. Signal processing is performed in a 2D mode, with data splitting for surface-consistent procedures according to unique “source line – receiver line” pairs. An initial depth-velocity model is built using kinematic inversion in a 2D-mode. After that, the processed seismograms are binned into a regular rectangular grid, followed by 3D pre-stack depth migration (3D-PSDM). For curvilinear wide profiles, the analysis of the migration results along lines corresponding to the theoretical common midpoint lines of the seismic layout is proposed. Using a fragment of one of the wide line as an example, the results of this analysis and their differences from standard 2D-migration are presented.
