In this paper, we consider the possibilities of the Scout segy program to optimize the process of checking trace headers in seismic data. The program offers the ability to export the scan results of track headers to text files and Excel spreadsheets, which allows you to conveniently and quickly analyze the information received. Examples of the uploaded information are given, which make it possible to effectively check the correctness of filling in coordinates, text headers and track headers. Working at Scout segy demonstrates a significant reduction in data processing time and simplification of interaction between departments of FSBI VNIGNI.
